I bring experience as a chair, director, executive and economist across health, justice, education, advocacy and community services. My work focuses on governance, reform, leadership transition, stakeholder environments and institutional renewal.

I also bring strong public communication capability through speaking, writing, media and commentary.

Governance experience

I am a chair, director and executive with experience leading complex organisations across health, justice, education, advocacy and community services.

I have 15 years of governance experience across industries and sectors. My governance work focuses on reform, restructuring, mergers, executive continuity, workforce issues and stakeholder management, especially in high-risk or high-pressure environments.

In current and recent roles, I have overseen organisations spanning more than $40 million in budgets, more than 10 sites and more than 400 staff.

My experience includes leading WAAC through growth, governance renewal and a merger; steering Sussex Street through restructuring and merger planning; leading Rainbow Futures through establishment and funding advocacy; and, serving as the only independent board member of Carine Senior High School.

Media and speaking experience

I have extensive media, speaking and public leadership experience.

I have written for The Australian, Australian Financial Review, Sydney Morning Herald, The West Australian and more, with my work being featured across those outlets, plus the ABC, Buzzfeed, The Hill (USA), Straits Times (Singapore). I regularly appear live on radio and TV.

I write, speak and comment on economics, business and management issues, and public policy. I am comfortable in live, public and high-pressure environments.

My background includes communications management, advocacy, sector influence and strategic media work.
